Newcastle United Scouts Impressed by Valencia Youngster David Otorbi

Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring Valencia youngster David Otorbi after two members of the club’s scouting team watched him in action against Racing Santander at El Sardinero.

According to reports, Newcastle’s scouts were watching the young attacker from the directors’ box and came away impressed by his performance. Otorbi came off the bench and scored his first goal for Valencia, giving the visitors another reason to take notice of his potential.

Newcastle Take Notice of Otorbi’s Performance

The report suggests Newcastle’s interest extended beyond Otorbi’s contribution on the pitch. The scouts are also said to have been impressed by his character, an aspect that could be important as the club evaluates young players with long-term potential.

Otorbi is among several Valencia academy talents who have reportedly attracted attention from financially powerful clubs. Newcastle’s visit indicates that the winger’s development is being followed, although there is no confirmation of a formal offer or negotiations at this stage.

Valencia Have Otorbi Under Contract Until 2028

Valencia strengthened their position in April by renewing Otorbi’s contract until June 2028. The agreement also includes a unilateral option allowing the Spanish club to extend his stay by a further three seasons.

That contractual protection could give Valencia considerable control over the youngster’s future if interest from abroad develops into concrete offers.

For Newcastle, any potential move would depend on their assessment of Otorbi’s long-term prospects and Valencia’s willingness to negotiate. For now, the reported scouting mission points to growing attention around the young attacker, but no transfer agreement has been announced.
