Atlético Madrid Monitor €50m-Rated Czech Attacker Pavel Šulc
Atlético Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Pavel Šulc as they explore potential options to strengthen their attacking line in the coming transfer windows.
According to Ekrem Konur, the Spanish side are among several clubs interested in the 25-year-old Czech international, who currently plays for Lyon. Juventus are also reported to be monitoring the versatile attacker, with competition potentially developing for his signature.
Šulc is said to carry a valuation of around €50 million, a figure that could make any potential transfer a significant investment for Atlético.
What It Means
Atlético continue to assess attacking options as they plan for the future. Uncertainty surrounding Julián Álvarez’s long-term situation has added another layer to the club’s planning, although no decision regarding the Argentine forward’s future has been confirmed.
Šulc could offer tactical flexibility thanks to his ability to operate as an attacking midfielder and in other forward positions. That versatility may appeal to Diego Simeone as Atlético consider different ways to improve their attacking output.
Background
Šulc, 25, joined Lyon after establishing himself in Czech football and has continued to attract attention with his performances. According to the figures cited in the report, he has recorded one goal and three assists in eight appearances this season.
His ability to contribute both creatively and in advanced positions makes him an interesting option for clubs looking to add depth and versatility in attack.
However, the reported €50 million valuation would represent a considerable financial commitment. Any move would depend on the clubs’ assessments of his performances, Lyon’s position and the overall cost of a deal.
What Happens Next
Atlético are reportedly monitoring Šulc alongside other interested clubs, but there is no indication in the report that a formal offer has been submitted.
The situation could develop as clubs begin planning their future recruitment, with Šulc’s valuation likely to be an important factor in any negotiations. For now, Atlético’s interest remains at the monitoring stage, and a transfer is far from confirmed.
