Chelsea Preparing €100m Offer for Atlético Madrid Star Pablo Barrios

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a €100 million offer for Atlético Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in signing the Spanish international.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea are planning a major move for the 23-year-old as they look to strengthen their midfield. PSG are also monitoring the situation, with manager Luis Enrique reportedly identifying Barrios as a priority target ahead of the January transfer window.

Barrios has established himself as an important player for Diego Simeone’s side, making 145 appearances for Atlético Madrid. His energy, ability to recover possession and composure on the ball have attracted attention from several major European clubs.

Atlético Madrid remain in a strong negotiating position. Barrios is under contract until June 2030 and has a reported €500 million release clause, meaning any potential deal would require a significant decision from the Spanish club.
