Juventus had identified Strasbourg striker Joaquín Panichelli before injury
Juventus had identified Strasbourg striker Joaquín Panichelli as a potential target earlier this year, with Tottenham and Atlético de Madrid also showing interest in the Argentine forward.
Panichelli enjoyed an impressive first season in Ligue 1, scoring 16 goals in 27 appearances for Strasbourg. His performances attracted attention from several European clubs, with Juventus making contact with the player and his representatives in February.
The Italian club had reportedly made Panichelli its preferred option for the striker position, with the potential transfer expected to cost between €35 million and €40 million.
However, the situation changed after Panichelli suffered an ACL injury towards the end of the season, ruling him out for the final part of the campaign.
The 23-year-old joined Strasbourg from Alavés in July 2025 and has one appearance for Argentina. His current contract with the French club runs until June 2030.
Panichelli’s form had made him one of the most closely watched young forwards in Ligue 1, but his injury has now put any potential summer move on hold.
