Real Betis Deny PSG Interest in Abde Ezzalzouli Amid Kvaratskhelia Injury
Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a potential move for Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli as they consider their options following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s serious injury. However, the Spanish club have firmly denied reports suggesting that the French champions are interested in signing the Moroccan international.
Several media outlets in the Middle East have recently claimed that PSG could target Ezzalzouli during the January transfer window as a possible replacement for Kvaratskhelia.
Nevertheless, Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo has dismissed those reports in strong terms. Speaking to WinWin, he said: “Nothing that has been said in recent weeks about Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Abde is true. They are nothing but lies.”
Ezzalzouli’s contract and €60m release clause
Ezzalzouli, 24, has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals. The former Barcelona winger has continued to attract attention with his performances for the Andalusian side.
However, any club hoping to sign him would face a significant financial obstacle. The Morocco international is under contract with Betis until June 2029 and has a release clause worth €60 million.
For now, Betis have made their position clear, publicly rejecting the claims of PSG interest. With the January transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether the Parisian club will make a move or look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
